About Us
We are keen gardeners in the Hove area on the south coast of the UK who meet every month to hear speakers on gardening-related subjects, have friendly competitions (we don’t generally go in for giant onions or pumpkins), go on outings to gardens and other places of interest and generally indulge and enjoy our interest in growing plants. Meetings are held at St Leonard’s church hall, Hove, on the third Monday of each month.
We hold an annual Plant Sale in May, which is very popular with local people and helps our funds.
Hove Gardening Club was born over 60 years ago when a group of friends and neighbours living on the south coast of England and all interested in gardening, decided to get together on a regular basis. The club they started was known as West Hove & District Horticultural Society for the first 53 years of its existence. It is still going strong but these days we are known as Hove Gardening Club.
